I want to give a big shout out to my wonderful husband! He is the man!! I found out wicked the musical was coming to Portland last November...i think. Anyways since then I wanted so bad to go, but knew that this wasn't the time for us..money wise. It finally came and Aron decided that he would use the money he got from his birthday to buy me tickets. As sweet as that sounds and as much as I really wanted to go I couldn't let him do that. Especially since he so badly wants to see Flight of the Conchords when they come in June or go to a Blazers game. So he kept looking on craigslist for a deal on tickets but couldn't really find anything. Actually he found some and wanted to spend $150 on them, I told him NO WAY! Right now we just couldn't spend money like that on a show, now last year I would of said sure, but not now. He eventually found out that before each show they have a lottery drawing for extra tickets that they give out for $25 a piece....the catch, you don't know where you will be sitting. I didn't care I just wanted to go even if I had to bring Dalan's binoculars with me to see! On Saturday he decided to go down and give it a shot....we got 2 tickets right UP FRONT!! He raced home calling his mom to let her know we needed her services for babysitting. She wasn't home, but luckily I have GREAT friends who raced over at the last minute to watch all 3 of my kids. Thanks again Chrissy & Ali!! We raced down there and barely got in our seats before the show started. It was AWESOME! I loved it, the only complaint was that although we were 3 rows from the front we were off to the side so sometimes it was hard to see some things. Aron liked the side seats though because he could see some of the production going on backstage. It was such a good show, 2 thumbs up my favorite show so far next to Les Miserables!
Afterwards Aron took me to the Chicken Wing place (forgot the name) in Portland that has good reviews. They did have some good wings & fries!! We were so full when we got done. It ended up being a good day and all thanks to my lovely husband! Love ya babe!

That is awesome! I went to see Cats a couple years back and loved it. Props to the hubby, that is so great!
Oh man! I wanted to see Wicked so bad! We almost went to see it in NY but something happened and we had to sell our tickets at the last minute... I was so bummed! I bet it was awesome. You are lucky to have such a great husband!
