My book review

Since I am trying to get back into blogging so that I have a journal and I am trying to get back into my love of reading, I have decided to combine the two and post a book and my small little likes or dislikes on the book when I am done.
So here goes.
Just got done reading P.S. I love you by Cecelia Ahern, it was made into a movie, but the two are quite a bit different. For that matter I did really like the movie and also enjoyed the book. I always think books are better and this one also stood up to that standard. If you didn't like the movie because you thought it was depressing you wouldn't like the book either. The same original content is there where Holly becomes a widow and finds that here husband has left a series of notes for her top open in the course of a year and always ends the notes with p.s. I love you. While the fact that her husband dies is very sad and tragic what Holly has to go through and the fact she was able to hold onto her husband through the notes was very special and sweet. The book made me really think about my own life and how at any moment something can happen. While reading the book I often would stop and count my blessings for the wonderful family that I have and our health! The only thing that I didn't like about the book is that from time to time there is some swearing in there.
I definitely have found myself a new author!

Stop fighting with the furniture!

Poor little girl has been bumping and slamming into
EVERYTHING!!
She has been doing the cruising thing along the furniture for about a month now and has had no bad accidents or falls
Until Now
Her poor little face looks like a mine field of bruises.
At least she is still smiling!

This picture I just thought was cute. It's her new thing now to put things in her mouth and just let them hang there while she goes about doing other things! She make us all laugh and smile, such a joy to have in our house.

Pumpkin Patch & Pumpkin Carving

It's that time of year again,
PUMPKIN PATCH TIME
I love going and love taking my kids. So far I have convinced Aron for the second year in a row that this is a good thing. The kids enjoy it so much! We found this place next to Grandpas house that has a ton of activities for the kids to do. Plus there is a hayride out to the corn maze which then leads you into the pumpkin patch. Both kids picked the perfect pumpkin for them and then I let Abby pick a pumpkin for Madelyn (she really liked that).

Dalan is such a ham, look at him begging to get out of jail!

She thought this was pretty fun and was kind of dancing around.

They conquered the hay castle!

This slide is the absolute favorite part of the whole thing

Dalan was brave enough this year to jump off the rope swing.

The perfect pumpkins!

The following week we carved our pumpkins and had ourselves some pumpkin pie!
Dalan loves this part, he really likes to get his hands in the pumpkin and get all gooey. Abigail, not so much! This year she decided she wanted to paint her pumpkin, but she still wanted her seeds out. Why? I don't know especially since she refuses to stick her hand in the pumpkin herself, so guess who got to do that part. Not Aron, he also refuses to get his hands all gooey, so I did it! That's okay though I actually don't mind I just like to give them a hard time. We had a great family night. I love my family and so enjoy making these wonderful memories and traditions with them.
Helping Dalan finish cleaning the whole thing out.

She is my pumpkin head!!

All done painting, or so we thought. Afterwards she took a red marker and made a bunch of weird squiggly lines on the face. The pumpkin looked like he had a bloody accident!

Aron carving out the face after Dalan drew what he wanted it to look like.

Her hair is growing...I got a clip in!

Aron keeps asking me when her hair is going to grow? I secretly don't mind right now because I'm not sure I'm up to doing hair dos for two girls. I can barely get out the door now as it is. But the other day I decided to see if I could fit a clip in her hair since she tears the headbands down off from her head. It fit barely! She had just enough hair to get a little tiny clip in that managed to stay in just long enough for me to snap some cute photos.
Oh well, I'll just keep waiting.

Thank You Aron!

Love ya,

Look at what I can do....

The other day I was playing with Madelyn and started to stick my tongue out at her to see what she would do. She looked at me curiously, touched my tongue a little and then her little tongue came out! It was so cute...something new that she discovered. Since then she has been going around the house sticking it out!

Random Pics of Madelyn

Warning, lots of pictures of one cute baby!!
Here are some random pictures of Madelyn in the month of June. She is growing so big and way to fast. I wish I could just freeze time and make her stay little forever. I am so grateful and so blessed to have this little girl in my life. She has brought so much joy into our family and we all love her a ton!

Sleeping so peacefully, 5 months old

The kids kept bugging me to get this out. Madelyn really enjoyed it, she loved being able to stand up on her own. 51/2 months old

This girl loves, loves her pacifier, it's with her at all times!

Chilling out by the couch, she prefers her stomach over her back. Even when she is sleeping. After she goes to bed I sneak in every night and find her sleeping on her tummy. I end up slowly turning her back to her back, but sometime through out the night she ends up rolling back on to her tummy, little stinker!

First time eating a teething biscuit, she loved it!!
